It seems that in today’s world, young people are increasingly struggling with their mental health due to various internal and external factors. Continued resources and assistance are required to support the mental health of our young people, and the Youth Work sector is significantly contributing by assuming a crucial role in delivering the necessary care and support to those struggling with their mental health.

Often, youth workers take on the caregiver role in supporting young people in need of mental health support; however, without accessible support and resources, this can lead to stress and eventually burnout for the youth workers.

To begin to look at how we can support our young people and the workers assisting them, the National Youth Health Programme are delighted to host a one-day conference, ‘Youth Mental Health: Today, Tomorrow and in the Future’.

To Facilitate this discussion, we have a variety of excellent speakers and contributors from the youth and mental health sectors on the day.

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of the speakers as well as to contribute opinions and practice ideas through a consultation process built into the event.
