Event Description

This is a 4-hour training programme delivered by the NYCI Child Protection Programme in collaboration with NYCI’s Youth Arts Programme.

This child protection awareness training is aimed at staff and volunteers working with young people (ages 10-18). We are offering this training specifically to those delivering youth arts progammes in youth work settings and the training will be tailored to that specific context. This training is suitable for those professionals and volunteers with general responsibilities in relation to safeguarding, but who do not have specified responsibilities in their role in relation to child protection.

This training event involves 2 x 2-hour sessions, with time for a short break in between. This is online training delivered over Zoom. It is interactive and involves active participation from attendees including breakout rooms, exercises and group discussions. Having successfully completed the 4 hour training programme, participants will receive a certificate.
