Are you a youth worker in Ireland working with young Roma? NYCI’s Equality and Intercultural Programme is bringing youth work practitioners together to share information, practice, learning and insights about working with the Roma community at an online event on the 23rd of April 2024

The event will open with a focus on Roma young people and cultural differences with guest speaker Vanessa Paszkowska who is a proud Roma young woman. Vanessa works at Pavee Point as a Community Worker and is a graduate of Law and Criminology and is currently completing her Masters in Youth and Community in Maynooth University.

This will be followed by an input from a Youth Justice worker (Foroige) who has been working with young Roma and their families for several years.

There will be an opportunity following these inputs to ask questions, to share practice, and name any training or upskilling needs.
