National Child Protection Programme Administrator
Reporting to
National Child Protection Programme Manager, National Youth Council of Ireland, with overall accountability to the Director and Board of NYCI.
Location
Office base will be at 3, Montague Street, Dublin 2 with travel for work required. NYCI is currently piloting a hybrid model of working.
Hours of Work
21 hours per week (some flexibility will be required, such as evening/weekend work).
Duration
Fixed term contract until December 2024 (subject to ongoing funding).
Remuneration
€32,740 pro-rata commensurate with qualifications and experience
Annual Leave
27 days per annum pro rata.

Child Safeguarding

Role and Purpose
The National Child Protection Programme Administrator will execute administrative tasks to support the operations of the National Child Protection Programme.
Key Responsibilities
Own and coordinate the delivery of the National Child Protection Programme’s administrative functions.
Operational training administration:
• Organise the logistics of child protection trainings and events being provided to the youth work sector.
• Maintain the training database.
• Organise meetings and take minutes where appropriate.
• Attend and support agreed offsite events/trainings as required.
• Assist the National Child Protection Programme Manager with administrative duties related to the running of the programme.
Quality Assurance administration
• Responsible for maintaining high-quality standards for the CPAP Train the Trainer Programme through the implementation of quality assurance procedures.
• Liaise with participating youth work organisations to implement quality assurance procedures.
• Relationship building with youth work organisations.
• Review and analysis of evaluations of training for continuous improvement.
Contribute to the development of the National Child Protection Programme strategic goals in line with NCYI’s Strategic Plan.
Any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a fast paced, stand-alone office role.
- Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking experience.
- A self-starter and team player who will roll up their sleeves to complete any office task necessary.
- The ability to bring innovative and new ways of working, embrace change, and solution focused.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Team’s and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and dynamic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
- MS Office certification
- CRM experience.
- Not-for-profit experience.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
- Committed to safeguarding children and young people from harm and an understanding of issues they face.
