Youth 2030 Programme Administrator
Reporting to
Youth 2030 Global Youth Work Programme Manager, National Youth Council of Ireland, with overall accountability to the Director and Board of NYCI.
Location
Office base will be at 3, Montague Street, Dublin 2 with travel for work required. NYCI is currently piloting a hybrid model of working.
Hours of Work
21 hours per week (some flexibility will be required, such as evening/weekend work). This role may have the potential to expand to 28 hours per week, dependant on funding.
Duration
Fixed term: 2.5 year initial fixed-term contract to December 2026 (subject to ongoing funding).
Remuneration
€32,740 pro-rata commensurate with qualifications and experience
Annual Leave
27 days per annum.

Child Safeguarding
Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people that includes attending relevant safeguarding training, undergoing garda vetting (if required), following reporting and child protection procedures, and that ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people is paramount in your work. This role does not require Garda Vetting.
Role and Purpose
The Youth 2030 Programme Administrator will execute tasks in area of administration and assist and support the Youth 2030 team.
Key Responsibilities
Own and coordinate the delivery of Youth 2030’s administrative and financial functions.
Financial administration
- Supporting the team to instigate purchases in line with purchasing procedures.
- Liaising with the NYCI Internal Finance system of approval and payments as well as keep tight budget overview within the GYW Team and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring invoices, back-up documentation and expense claims are recorded accurately and submitted on time.
- Manage procurement, inventory, and order processing for the Youth 2030 Programme.
- Managing Budgets along with Department Manger
Operational administration:
- Looking after travel arrangements
- Organising meetings and taking minutes where appropriate
- Attend and support various and agreed offsite events that are run by the Youth 2030 Programme as required.
- Assisting the Youth 2030 Programme Manager with administrative duties.
Contribute to the development of Youth 2030 Programme goals.
Any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.
Person Specification
Experience/Attributes
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a fast paced, stand-alone office role.
- Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking experience.
- A self-starter and team player who will roll up their sleeves to complete any office task necessary.
- The ability to bring innovative and new ways of working as well as embrace change.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Team’s and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
- Attention to detail and dynamic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
Desirable
- MS Office certification
- CRM experience.
- Not for profit experience.
