Please see below a link to the letter from the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman, formally withdrawing the Guidance for Youth Work Organisations and detailing the remaining measures for the youth sector.
The complete letter includes a note of thanks and recognition that ‘youth work services and staff have proved themselves to be resilient, adaptive and innovative in very challenging circumstances’. It also details remaining measures:
Following the decision by Government that most of the public health measures currently in place could be removed, I am glad to announce that the Guidance for Youth Work Organisations is now withdrawn.
The youth sector may now deliver services in line with the limited public health measures listed below:
•Continue to follow the public health advice for symptoms, cases, and contacts
•Continue to follow the basic public health measures in relation to hand washing, cough etiquette, adequate ventilation etc
•Where appropriate, continued wearing of masks, practicing of physical distancing and avoidance of crowded environments based on individual risk assessment -see Be Risk Aware
•The latest guidance for the safe return and continued safe operating of workplaces as will be set out in the forthcoming Transitional Protocol -Good Practice Guidance for Continuing to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19
You can read the complete letter from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) on their web page related to Covid-19 Guidance for Youth Organisations.
We will continue to work with DCEDIY on your behalf.
Warmest regards,
