On the occasion of the International Earth Day, on April 22nd members of the Youth Council, joined by the volunteers from Outdoor Ambassadors and Ecovolis, organized a march with bicycles through Tirana.
Displaying posters that promoted a clean and safe living environment for all, they rode around the city to raise awareness about our planet and how important it is for us to protect it. Part of the message was also the alternative ways of transport that we can use to reduce our carbon footprint in the environment.
A week later, on April 27th, the Youth Council joined a mass-cleaning action, that made together numerous youth organizations and more than 250 volunteers. The aim of this action was cleaning the beach of Darezeze in Fier and give once again the message of protecting the environment and keeping our beaches and forests clean.
Keeping the environment clean, safe and enjoyable for all of its inhabitants is everyone’s duty.
