NYCI is changing its look! As part of our rebrand, we invited young illustrators to create illustrations which celebrate the diversity of our member organisations and the young people they support.
Responding to the keywords: Representative; Solidarity; Collaborative; Authoritative; Changemaker the two winning illustrators really captured the essence of NYCI with lots of youthful energy and enthusiasm in a fresh and contemporary way.
As well as seeing their work featured in our rebrand, the two young illustrators each received a voucher for €200.
You can see their amazing illustrations below and also how they are used as part of NYCI’s brand across our social media platforms.

Emma Louise Thyne, Age 16, County Clare
“I wanted an inclusive illustration that shows creativity and how an idea can become reality. Using a character with a basic idea pose shows that young people can have a voice and be an advocate for change. I incorporated the logo into the shirt of the character, using the iconic ripple and instead of putting it into the background, I made it the hair of the character! I believe I have shown that young people can be change makers and have a voice for all to hear.”
Erica Visocchi, Age 17, County Dublin
“A lot of my creative ideas come from my dream when I sleep. I had a dream about giving a speech to my school, the puzzle pieces are like speech bubbles, they are words that represent us young people fighting for our rights and the puzzle pieces come together as we need solidarity and collaboration to make change and represent. I want my dreams to become a reality.“
We hope you enjoy the new look as much as we do, and we look forward to it supporting our communications with the youth sector and the wider public into the future! Here’s a sneak peak of what’s coming…
